Anthropomorphic form. The surface in fine smooth bright polish with minor smooth staining only. Original shoulder buckles and portions of the leather waist belts. The inside hammer finished with lamination showing. Short crack at the cusp of the bottom edge. A major element of a proper 16th-century armor not to be confused with the more common and poorer quality 17th-century cuirassier’s armors.
